    • Thank you very much for your comment Stuart.
I really do like this video too. Her movements are beautiful. How she makes it look so easy!

        • Keep up the good work!
I wanted to leave a comment on your site but I’m not really into Facebook so I didn’t. I’m going to ask Alan to go on your site and comment because he understands the social media stuff more than me.
          Take care

    • Hi Razwana,

Personally, I started with Peter Chin Kean Choy’s book (mentionned in my post) and I particularly liked it because of all the positive thinking going on in his book. I guess at the time, I needed more than just the Tai Chi postures and it really helped. As far as movements go, Peter’s book works because he goes through the movements in detail and one at a time. They are simple movements and cover Chi Kung (the healing side rather than the more martial side of Tai Chi).

However, if you’re looking to actually learn the forms, start with a video (youtube has got loads for free) or with a class (which is what I did). You can then complement with the other book I recommend (by Shou-Yu Liang) since it gives a thorough and authentic explanation of Tai-Chi and the movements.

      Are you practicing Tai-Chi?

  2. Tai-Chi is something that I’ve wanted to try for a long time. I tried to do the exercise that you put here, and I would like to try out more.

I might go look for a book the next time I go out.

    • Hey Josh,

that’s really cool – so how did it go?

if you’re thinking of buying a book, well, I hope. The two books recommended above are very good ones – whether you buy them via the links above or not they shouldn’t be expensive and are easily worth every penny. You can probably find both books in most decent book shops too (remember those – book shops?).

pleasse do keep me posted how you get on and let me know if there’s anything I can help you with,
      thanks & take care,
      Alan
