How To Make Your Own All-Purpose Cleaner (Wealth Tip #32)

Have you noticed how many commercial cleaning products advertise having vinegar in them?

That’s because vinegar is a little gem. It is a natural disinfectant and deodorizer. It removes oil and grease and is an all purpose cleaner.

And the good news is that you don’t need to buy the commercial version with added perfume and other chemicals. All you need is a recycled spray bottle, one cup white vinegar and 4 cups water. That’s it, you’ve got the best window cleaner there is – for a fraction of the price. And it’s green.

You can add a squirt of washing liquid to make it an all-purpose cleaner.
But do not use it on marble or you will stain it!!!

As for the smell, it is quite strong but don’t worry. It will disappear when it dries.

  1. I second this suggestion; we use it all the time and it’s an effective cleaner. I also use 1 cup in our rinse water when I wash clothes. It doesn’t leave a vinegar smell but it does soften our clothes. I started this when I noticed our towel had a funny smell after washing and drying them many times with Tide and Downey. I switched to homemade laundry detergent (way cheaper) and vinegar and the bad smell disappeared after the first wash.
