I suppose if I were asked that question I’d find it difficult to narrow it down to one site. I have lots of sites that I really like for various reasons.

Met Weather for, well… the weather, Google Maps for journeys, eBay for a bargain, IMDB to see if a film is worth watching…

So I have compiled a list useful websites I think you might like to know about and might not know already (i.e. I’ve avoided all the obvious ones). I’ve also avoided all the social media sites (we were talking about useful sites here, right?). That leaves 365 useful websites I’d like to share with you.

In fact I compiled this list some time ago. Over 2 years ago I painstakingly researched and put together a really useful list of 365 really useful websites.

Yes, 365 of them. 365 Awesome Webistes, one for every day of the year.

I even wrote all of this before. Same intro because the concept is the same. The reason I’m telling you this now is because you may not have seen the original article but mainly because I just spent quite a lot of time going through the list again and making sure the sites are still working (believe me, it’s a big list = a lot of work). I did decide a process for keeping it up to date, but who am I kidding, it’s not like I’m doing tis every day.

Anyways, the list is still as awesome as ever, with all the deadwood (compromised, deleted, discontinued… sites removed) and alternative really useful sites added to maintain the list of 365.

Looking through these, I couldn’t help but smile at some of them which are really cool. I do really like the IKEA Hackers site, the Histography site and LastPass is another really useful one I use every day.

In case you are wondering, the new ones I just added are #s 17, 22 and 34 and the ones I removed obviously the ones that used to be in the same places – and for those with a curious mind, I put them on this graveyard page: Websites – 365 REALLY Useful Websites You Just Gotta Check Out – REMOVED Sites (which is good for the record and what we coulda had, but also in case any of the problems with these sites turn out to be temporary then a place I can also check back in on them from time to time, so more like a hospital than a graveyard for those sites that were just poorly ;-)).
