This particular post is just a record of the sites from that original list that stopped working, as I find out & replace them with others to maintain that list, I’m copying them here for posterity.

This serves two purposes:

1. Anyone who’s interested and finds their way here can see these and look for comparisonswhich you can do via Google or using one of the site’s I’ve listed in the 365 article: alternativeto.net or similarsites.com.

2. Some of the sites may only be temporarily unavailable. I’m trying to maintain a working list so don’t really want construction work pictures when people click on the site links, but in case a site ‘comes back’ then keeping it here is one chance to maintain that link and further to that in case anyone sees this and tells me (via comments or email list) or the owners of that site do, then I will be happy to consider getting it back into the main article.

3. (or Jan 3) Pocket – Really useful utility that lets you save interesting articles, videos and more from the web for later enjoyment. Once saved to Pocket, the list of content is visible on any device — phone, tablet or computer & can be viewed offline.

17. (or Jan 17) Steep It – The simplest internet tea timer and database of how to get the best taste for every variety of tea.

22. (or Jan 22) Alertful – Alertful reminds you of important events (or any events) by email, no registration required & completely free.

34. (or Feb 3) Two Foods – a food comparision tool that compares the nutritional data of two food items.

294. (or Oct 21) Smart-Kit – School-safe online puzzle games.

311. (or Nov 7) Book Drop – Receive books on your Kindle through Dropbox.
