Use a Bottle To Drink More Water (Efficiency Hack #1)
We all know we should be drinking more water.
We also know that what gets measured gets improved.
We also tend to find any old excuse not to do stuff (such as drinking enough water) so the trick is to make things really easy.
To make sure you drink enough water, use a bottle with a measurement on it. Either buy a purpose made bottle with a measuring scale on the side of it (yes, you can easily get these) or just buy a large bottle of water and refill it first thing each morning.
Want to drink 1.5 litres of water each day? Then buy a 1.5 litre bottle of water, refill it every day and make sure you drink it all before the day is up.
You then have your accountability partner – the bottle (keep it with you throughout the day) – to check at any time in the day and see how you’re doing vs your target to get through that much water.
Simple but effective.

Excellent Idea, not sure why I never thought of that. I am one of the struggling water drinkers. I care a lot about clean and healthy water supplies, but as far as actually drinking enough yeah I don’t come close. Guess I have a new idea to try out and raise my consumption level, thanks.
Great!
Glad this helped.
let me know if it worked for you…
Hey Alan, I agree with what you’re saying here. It actually reminds me of a time when I drank a lot of water. I had a 20 ounce bottle I’d fill throughout the day and take with me everywhere. Usually I’d drink 2-3 bottles of that in a day. I’ve noticed that ever since I stopped carrying the bottle around with me, my water intake has slowed. It really can make a big difference.
Yeah, this is such a basic and simple thing but it’s really amazing what a big difference it can make (did for me anyway).
Then I found stupid excuses not to hae a bottle around and instantly stopped drinking water. Then as soon as I noticed that and started using a bottle again, I drank plenty of water again – just like turning a tap on (sic).
😉
Thanks for the comment Steve – hope all is well over there in sunny Maroc.
